The United States international sat out the Rossoneri’s 3-1 friendly win over Monza on Tuesday. No risks were taken on his fitness in that fixture, with the 25-year-old forward nursing a minor ankle complaint. He was given time in which to rest and recover.

The expectation was that he would come into contention for a Serie A opener against Torino at San Siro on Saturday. That looks to be the case, with Pulisic able to complete a full preparatory session alongside the rest of his team-mates.

There have been suggestions that Pulisic could be deployed as a No.10 by Milan this season, having thrived on the right wing last term. He posted a career-best return of 15 goals in 2023-24 and will be hoping to raise that bar again when it comes to end product and decisive contributions in the final third.
